"The play is rich in issues of evolution and ecological medding, all the more so because it was inspired by actual events."
— The New York Times
Set in the pristine Galapagos Islands during a violent confrontation between native Ecuadorian fishermen trying to make a living and conservationists trying to discover why we live and die, Tooth and Claw looks at the parallels between capitalism and natural selection.
Within the context of a land where humanistic and scientific concerns are often at odds, the play provocatively questions whether humanity is improving or inching closer to extinction.
