After endless failed attempts at rehabilitation, Rosa's desperate parents make a last-ditch effort to save their daughter's life. Rosa spends seven days telling the difficult, yet humorous story of how a 16-year-old kid from Alabama ended up strung out on crack and chained to the radiator in her parents' Harlem apartment. As she gets clean, the question remains: Can she learn to resist the dangers of the streets, when those dangers are really just her friends trying to have a good time?
This one-woman show is based on a true story. Rosa will be played by Naeemah A. White-Peppers, who received unanimous critical acclaim as Shelita Burns in Zeitgeist Stage Company's recent production of Bee-Luther-Hatchee.
