Auditions
Zeitgeist Stage announces auditions for their spring show, Punk Rock by Simon Stevens. Auditions are February 25 & 26, 6:30 to 9:30 PM at the Plaza Black Box Theater at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont St in Boston’s South End.

Synopsis:
Punk Rockfollows the story of seven sixth-formers in Great Britain as they face up to the pressures of teenage life, while preparing for their mock A-levels and trying to get into Oxbridge. They are a group of educated, intelligent and aspiring young people but step-by-step, the dislocation, disjunction and anger simmering under the surface is revealed in an act of school violence. (Despite the title Punk Rock is NOT a musical!) Zeitgeist Stage selected Punk Rock to be part of our season last summer, prior to recent tragic events. Our hope is to continue the dialogue with this production which will feature audience talkbacks following every performance.
Roles:
- 4 Boys: William, Bennett, Nicholas, Chadwick
- 4 Girls: Lilly, Cissy, Tanya, Lucy
- All roles are 17/18 years old and speak with British accents. Performers should look the appropriate age. Accents not necessary at the audition.

Dates: Monday & Tuesday, 2/25 & 26, 6:30 – 9:30 PM

Information: Open to Non-Equity performers. There is a stipend for performing in the show. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Copies of the scripts are on file at the StageSource office. Punk Rock is published by Methuen Drama
